For some time I have been dealing with the fantastic drawings of cave painting. As an artist with Impressionist roots, I am particularly touched by the earthy coloring, which comes to light in different nuances.
Especially the caves of Altamira and Lascaux did it to me. I tried to visualize the Stone Age animal depictions and hunting scenes on the shirt CAVEMAN. The original drawings of Cro-Magnon people were either carved into the walls or applied with pigments - some even blown up.
Today we have it easier: In the commercial acrylic paints, the pigments are already incorporated and the artist can use simpler methods. I applied the colors in different layers and not only used the brush - also hands and various materials such as foils were used for printing.
CAVEMAN - the caveman, this is a shirt not only for hunters and gatherers. It's a shirt for those who love warm colors!
This GERMENS shirt of the month September 2019 and limited to 99 pieces. The fabrics are woven in the Lausitz jacquard, printed and finished at Chemnitz / Saxony. Each shirt is made with the utmost care individually and impresses with its extraordinary surface, fine workmanship, noble details and longevity.
