Button-up Shirt Long Sleeve ARTIST HAPPINESS
The ARTIST HAPPINESS button-up shirt by GERMENS is a true work of art, designed by American artist Daniel Chimowitz. This long-sleeve shirt features a colorful collage of iconic elements, including Marilyn Monroe, black-and-white portraits of GERMENS artists, and a humorous shark exclaiming, “I have nothing to do in a soup.” The sleeves are adorned with historical maps of San Francisco, making this shirt a vibrant blend of artistic and geographical motifs.
A Story to Tell
“When I wore this shirt to an art gallery, someone immediately asked, ‘Where did you get this piece of art?’ I explained that it was designed by American artist Daniel Chimowitz and is part of a limited edition of just 99 pieces. The combination of Marilyn Monroe, city maps of San Francisco, and a playful shark makes this shirt a conversation starter. It’s not just a piece of clothing; it’s a wearable canvas that brings art and fashion together.”
Benefits of Cotton
The ARTIST HAPPINESS shirt is made from premium 100% cotton, woven and produced in Saxony. Cotton is breathable, preventing sweat buildup and ensuring comfort throughout the day. It is also odor-resistant, making it perfect for everyday wear. The fabric is soft on the skin, providing a comfortable experience, and is highly durable, ensuring the shirt will last for years. The colors stay vibrant even after numerous washes, and the shirt is easy to care for.
Special Features
This shirt stands out not only for its bold design but also for its craftsmanship. The Kent collar is reinforced with removable stainless steel stays to maintain its perfect shape. The signature GERMENS collar notch adds a unique touch of elegance. The angled cuffs, often featuring contrasting colors, offer a stylish flair when the sleeves are rolled up. The buttons are securely sewn with shank, ensuring they won’t fall off, and the precise stitching, with 7 to 8 stitches per centimeter, guarantees long-lasting durability.
Size Range and Fit
Available in 10 sizes from XS to 6XL, the ARTIST HAPPINESS shirt fits men of all body types. To ensure the perfect fit, GERMENS offers a try-on service for home, allowing you to try three different sizes at home.
Tailoring and Care Services
If adjustments are needed, GERMENS offers a modification service, such as sleeve shortening or waist adjustments. Caring for the shirt is simple: it can be easily washed and ironed, with the colors staying bright over time. For detailed care instructions, visit this page.
Limited Edition and Production
Each ARTIST HAPPINESS shirt is part of a limited edition of just 99 pieces, making it an exclusive item. Due to the intricate production process, the production of each shirt takes several weeks. However, for those who need a shirt immediately, GERMENS offers a selection of immediately available products.
This shirt is not just a garment; it’s a bold expression of art, individuality, and creativity.
About GERMENS
GERMENS artfashion – art to wear
GERMENS is more than just fashion. It is an extraordinary concept that combines art, individuality and sustainability. Since it was founded in 2010, GERMENS has stood for wearable works of art – each item of clothing is created in collaboration with international artists and is absolutely unique in its design.
Why GERMENS? Because we rethink fashion. Instead of producing mass-produced goods, we manufacture exclusively to order or in small, limited editions. This reduces overproduction, conserves resources and makes every GERMENS piece something special. Our fabrics come from Saxony and are made into high-quality shirts, blouses and T-shirts in Europe – with attention to detail and precision craftsmanship.
GERMENS stands for exceptional designs that emphasise the character of the wearer. For quality that you can feel. And for an attitude that sees fashion as an expression of personality and culture.
GERMENS is fashion for people who don't want to look like everyone else – but like themselves.

What is special about GERMENS?

extravagant artist designs
René Koenig and numerous external artists create their designs directly on special templates that correspond exactly to the cuts of GERMENS clothing. The result is a surface design that fits perfectly on every item of clothing – an interplay of art and fashion in perfect form.

Exclusive designs - printed to fit perfectly
GERMENS only uses its own designs, which are only available here. For each garment – in every size from XS to 6XL – the pattern pieces are printed individually and accurately on high-quality cotton fabric.
The fabric is then finished so that the colours remain permanently brilliant, the fabric is washable, suitable for everyday use and comfortable to wear – without any unpleasant odours.

Careful cutting by hand
GERMENS only produces what has actually been ordered. This is very sustainable and ensures lasting value. After printing, the fabrics are cut to size – in the traditional way, by hand. The skilled worker is visually orientated to the design and cuts each piece individually. The result is a perfect fit in which art and cut interact perfectly.

Careful manufacture in the factory
After cutting, the many individual pieces are sewn together in a Polish family business with great care and many years of experience. High-quality finishing details – such as finely stitched edges or buttons with handles – and fine fabrics guarantee that every GERMENS garment will give you long-lasting pleasure.Who wears GERMENS?
